Hoshino Resorts opens 1955 era designed hotel in Urayasu

Updated: Jul 16

On June 20th, Hoshino Resorts opened Hoshino Resort 1955 Tokyo Bay in Urayasu City, Chiba Prefecture.

Located about a 10-minute drive from JR Keiyo Line's Shin-Urayasu Station, the hotel stands 18 stories tall with 638 rooms.

Given its proximity to Tokyo Disney Resort, the hotel interior is designed to evoke the atmosphere of America around 1955, when the world's first Disneyland was established.

The hotel uses vintage tables and chair designs that were in use during the fifties.

The rooms include 23 different types, such as the Superior Family which accommodates four people, and the Deluxe Corner with Lounge Beds which accommodates up to six people.

For guests, the hotel offers the 2nd Room, a public space featuring relaxation areas where shoes can be removed and curtained spaces allow for some privacy.

Additionally, catering to the needs of travelers visiting theme parks, the hotel has a 24-hour shop. The restaurant serves both breakfast and late-night meals.
